Description

Point House is an 18th century house located on Station Street in Swaffham. It is constructed of red brick with a roof of black-glazed pantiles. The building is three storeys and has a three-window front. The central entrance features a six-panelled and fielded door, with the upper two panels glazed. The door is set within a timber doorcase, the hood of which was rebuilt in the 20th century. The ground floor has a three-light cross casement window on either side. The first floor has two similar casements flanking a blind central window. The second floor has two three-light casements and a two-light central casement. A brick modillion eaves cornice runs along the top of the facade. The gabled roof has gable-end stacks located to the east and west; the west stack is partly external. A contemporary outshut extends to the rear, featuring a single raking dormer window. The east gable displays a datestone inscribed with the date 1788. The interior was not inspected.
