ROUDHAM Granary/Cart Shed 50 yards N.E. Roudham Hall

Barn. Mid C18. Timber framed with mixed brick and clay lump infilling. Slate roof. 5 timber posts with arched brackets support granary on each longitudinal side. Upper part has vertical posts with single diagonal brace in each bay. Bays infilled and rendered. Horizontally slatted timber window of centre. Timber extensions to each end of building are pantiled, that to west forming entrance to granary. East gable weatherboarded above lean-to. Roof structure consists of tie beams with king posts and struts to principals. Through purlins. Original partitioned plan survives although timbers mostly C20.
