Description
Several House is an early 19th-century brick house with a pantile roof, located on the south side of Mattishall Church Plain. The symmetrical three-bay facade features sash windows with glazing bars. The ground floor windows are positioned beneath skewback arches with cambered soffits. A central raised and fielded panelled door is topped by a semicircular fanlight with radiating glazing bars, and is set within a doorcase featuring pilasters and an open pediment. A shaped dentil cornice runs along the top, above which is a hipped roof, and there are end stacks. A lower, two-storeyed extension is attached to the rear. The group value of the building lies in its contribution to the architectural character of the area.
