Description
Nast Hyde Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the early 17th century, with a timber-framed rear section and a front built in the mid and late 19th century. The building is constructed of red brick and has a plain tile roof. It stands two storeys high and features two gable ends. The left gable has a square bay window with a sash on the ground floor and a recessed sash window on the first floor, along with an attic roundel. The right side includes glazing bar casements. The rear part has a plastered gable end on the east side and 17th-century red brick on the west side. A tall 17th-century ridge chimney stack with square joined shafts and an arris is located on the south side. The substantial two-bay timber-framed interior suggests that the original structure was also two storeys high, with a stairwell located on the east side.
