Description

Ayot Green Cottage is a house that likely dates back to the 17th century and features a timber frame. It was extended and faced in brick during the 18th and 19th centuries. The cottage has exposed framing with brick infill at the center and a steeply pitched plain tile roof. It is one storey with an attic. The right-hand extension has a lower pitched roof and a brick cornice with modillions. There are four windows, which include modern and 19th-century casements with glazing bars. The entrance features a modern door and porch, and there are brick chimney stacks at the center and ends of the building.
