Description

Old Post Cottage is a timber-framed house dating from the 17th, 18th, and 19th centuries. It features an original central section, a later extension on the north side, and a brick-built extension on the south side. The cottage is one storey with an attic and has three windows on the front (east). It has a thatched roof that is hipped on the north side and includes large central brick stacks. The frame is exposed on the front, with painted brick infill and other walling, and there is a cambered ground-floor opening on the south side. The windows are casements, some of which are old, and there is a boarded door set in a solid frame. The rear of the cottage has outshots.
