Description

Nos 13 and 15, including four gate piers, are gate lodges that were originally built for Brocket Hall around 1760 by James Paine for Sir Matthew Lamb. They are now a pair of houses made of red brick with a square plan and pyramid slate roofs, each featuring a central square chimney stack. The buildings are two storeys tall and have a stone sill band. The north and south elevations have ground and first floor sash windows set in relieving arches, with blocked roundels on the sides facing inward. There are four large square gate piers that have stone bands, cornices, and ball finials, along with wooden gates to the outer openings.
