Description
Hand Side Farmhouse is an early 19th-century former farmhouse that was once used as the New Town hostel. The building is two storeys high and has a rendered exterior with a hipped Welsh slate roof featuring one brick chimney stack. The central gabled section projects and includes one window above a plain door. On the left side, there is one window above a three-light window. The right section has one modern larger window and one original window above another window. A small addition is located at the angle with the gable. The farmhouse has a brick and rendered plinth. The interior has undergone alterations, and new additions have been built recently, including a cut in the corner of the original building to the southeast.
