Description

Hillside House is an early 18th-century farmhouse, with alterations made in the 18th and early 19th centuries that changed its external appearance, although the original layout likely remains. The brickwork, largely from the 18th century but with 19th-century repairs, is patchy and sits on a partial granite plinth, with a higher brick plinth used to compensate for the sloping site. The roof is covered with Welsh slate. The building is two storeys high and has a three-unit plan, with one bay to the right of the front door and three windows to the left. All windows on both floors have cambered brick arches over them. The gables are coped, and there is a stack on the right-hand gable and another between the two left-hand units.
