Description

Shilmoor Farmhouse is an early 19th-century farmhouse with later 19th-century additions. It is constructed of random rubble with dressed stone quoins and surrounds, topped with a Welsh slate roof and ashlar chimneys.

The building has two storeys and features three bays, with a two-bay addition set back to the right that connects to another two-bay former cottage also recessed to the right. The main section has three steps leading up to a central six-panelled door, which is framed by an alternating-block surround and has a margined overlight above. The windows are renewed four-pane sashes, also set within alternating-block surrounds.

The farmhouse has a gabled roof with flat coping and corniced end stacks, and the additions display similar architectural details.
