Description
The former Presbyterian Church in Harbottle, built in 1854, is now redundant. It is constructed from roughly-dressed stone with ashlar dressings and features a Welsh slate roof. The building is a single-cell structure oriented from north to south.
At the north end, there is a central pointed-arched door surrounded by a broad broach-stopped chamfered surround. Above the door, a 3-light window features Y-tracery and is flanked by tall lancet windows. An octagonal bellcote is located at the north end, which is partly corbelled out and topped with a slightly concave stone pyramidal roof.
The sides of the church have five bays, each with lancet windows. The south end features two tall lancets, and all windows are fitted with leaded diamond panes. The gabled roof has flat coping and an obelisk finial at the south end.
