Description
The Crooked Chimney Public House is a 17th century and later timber-framed building located on Marford Road in Cromer Hyde. It has a painted brick L-shaped plan. The front range features a 17th or 18th century Z-shaped chimney on the ridge of a plain tile roof, along with two slate roof casement dormers. The gable end facing the road is half-timbered and includes a modern ground floor window bay. On the southeast side, there is one door and a casement window, while the northwest side has a catslide roof. The rear range is made of painted 18th century brick and has three 19th century casements and one modern bow window. Inside the front range, there are three bays with stop-chamfered floor beams and a large inglenook fireplace situated between the first and second bays from the road.
