Description

Highfield Cottage is a 17th or 18th century building located on Whalebone Lane in Langham. It features a long timber-framed structure with exposed framing on the right side and a plastered finish. The roof is thatched, ridged, and gabled, adorned with three eyebrow dormers. The windows are wooden casements, and there are two plain doors on the ground floor, along with a range of five small-paned wooden casements. On the north wall, there is a red brick outshut, which may have been an oven. The cottage has three square red brick chimneys along the ridge. At the rear, there is a single-storeyed wing that forms a T-plan.
