Description
The Hall is a Grade II* listed house located in Langham, dating from around 1740. It features six bays and two storeys, with a façade clad in stucco that has an ashlar appearance. The building has a parapet with a moulded eaves string, a first-floor band, and a plinth. The roof is steep-pitched, ridged, hipped, and slated, likely dating from an earlier period. There is one stuccoed chimney and two gabled dormers from around 1700, each adorned with moulded timber eaves trim.
The central bay of the house projects and is topped with a pediment that contains a Diocletian window at the apex. Below this are two small paned sashes set in concealed boxes, situated above a portico from around 1800. This portico features a flat entablature supported by two fluted Ionic columns and has side walls. The entrance door is paned and glazed, topped with a semi-circular fan-light with nebulae bars. On either side of the entrance, there are six-pane sashes, while the flanking bays each have nine-pane sashes in concealed boxes.
Attached to the main house are additional ranges from the 19th century, which are built of painted brick and include a bell-turret dated 1822.
