No 174 on High Street is a late 17th-century timber-framed house that was refronted in stucco in the early 19th century. The building features a two-window range with 19th-century sash windows. The ground floor has been modernized. It has a plain tile roof that is hipped at the south end, with a truncated brick chimney stack located at the rear corner. Inside, there is a tie beam and rafter roof.
