Description
The One Crown Public House is a 16th-century timber-framed house that was refronted in stucco in the 19th century. It is two stories tall and has a double-fronted design with a plain tile roof and a chimney at one end. The front features three windows, with the center window being blank and casements on either side. There is a band between the floors and a pilastered doorcase with a moulded hood supported by brackets. On either side of the door, there are 19th-century sash windows. The door, located to the right of the front, has a simple moulded surround. Inside, the building originally had a three-bay upper hall with queen-strut collar-and-tie-beam trusses and stop-chamfered tie-beams, as well as arched wind-bracing. At the rear, there is a 17th-century extension with two gables.
