Description

No. 141 High Street is a much-altered 16th-century timber-framed house. It has a two-storey front and a plain tile roof. The front is entirely obscured by a modern shop, and the ground floor has been gutted. However, the two-bay upper hall remains largely intact. The roof features a queen strut collar-and-tie-beam construction with arch braces below, and there is some fire damage present. This building is listed as part of the timber-framed group that includes Nos. 137-141 High Street.
