Description

This is a pump located about 10 meters northeast of Potten's Farm House, dating from the mid to late 19th century. It was likely provided by the owner of the nearby White House, which is not listed. The pump is made of cast iron with some stock brick at the base. It features a large circular drum at the top, approximately 2 meters in diameter. The casing is decorated with moulded tracery of interlocking circles and half-circles on each side. The crank handle operates a large wheel that turns a small cog, which engages a larger cog connected to a double piston pump.
