Description

Bridge Number 163, located 50 meters southwest of Grove Wharf, is a roving bridge that carries a towing path over the Grand Union Canal. It was built around 1800 and is constructed of whitewashed brick. The bridge features a cambered humpback over a single arch and has a segmental coped parapet. The eastern side has curved splays to the banks, while the western side has straight sides with a right angle turn leading to a ramp on the northern side.
