Description
The restaurant at Aubrey Park Hotel is located within a large hotel complex, positioned behind and to the right of the entrance. The building dates from the 16th and 17th centuries and was originally constructed as a farmhouse and barn range, known as Foster Farm. It features roughcast walls and a machine tile roof, with a single storey and attics, comprising five bays. There is a one-bay extension from the 20th century on the right. Internally, the four left bays are from the later 16th century and include curved wind braces and clasped purlins, with some close studwork visible on the rear walls. The chamfer-stopped beams in the left two bays indicate that this section was likely used as a dwelling. The right end bay is from the late 17th century and has straight wind braces. The remainder of the hotel is not of special interest.
