Description

May Cottage is a 16th-century timber-framed building that has recently been restored, featuring used stock brick filling. It stands two storeys high and has two windows. The building has a high-pitched, swept tiled roof that extends almost to ground level at the rear, along with a tall brick chimney stack. The first floor displays close set studs that rest on exposed beam ends of the overhanging upper floor, which is supported by three shouldered brackets. The ground floor has wide set timbers with some horizontal rails, and the windows have been renewed with casements. There is a new garage extension on the left side of the building.
