Description

No 51 on Sopwell Lane, dating from around 1700, is now part of No 49. This building has two storeys and features two windows. It is constructed of red brick with a brick plinth. The roof is moderately high-pitched, swept, and tiled, topped with a central brick chimney. The eaves are designed to accommodate first-floor casement windows set in slightly projecting box frames. There are two steps leading to a later door on the left, which is situated under a segmental brick arch. The left-hand ground floor window, which is under a gauged segmental brick arch, has a modern casement in an old, flush box frame, while the right-hand window is also modern.
