Description
This is an early 19th-century front elevation to a double-span house built around 1700, originally constructed of red brick. The property has since been divided, with each house now featuring two storeys and a single window. It has a moderately pitched tiled roof with a deep eaves soffit. The recessed sash windows have glazing bars, with those on the ground floor set beneath gauged segmental brick arches. Numbers 37 and 39 have external shutters. The front door consists of six plain panels, a reeded cornice head, and a fanlight under a hood supported by reeded pilasters. Doorways alternate with the ground floor windows. Numbers 37 to 41A form a group value context.
