Description

This is a terrace of estate cottages located at 6 to 9 Harpenden Road, built around 1890. The cottages are constructed of red brick with a mauve brick band and feature a plain tile roof that is both hipped and gabled. The building stands two storeys high, with gables at each end of the elevation. The central two first-floor windows extend into the eaves, and there are doors below these windows that are topped with sloping tiled hoods. The side elevations have similar doors and eaves, and there are four segmental-headed two-light glazing bar casements. The cottages are included in the listing for their group value.
