Description
23 and 24 Park Road are a pair of estate cottages built in the late 19th century. They are constructed from gault brick with red brick dressings and feature steeply pitched plain-tiled roofs that have crested ridges and gable finials. The cottages are one and a half storeys tall and have wooden casements with mullions and transoms, along with moulded brick pediments above the upper windows. There are two triangular bay windows, each topped with hipped tiled roofs. The eaves and verges display a dog-tooth brick pattern. The main roof extends down to create porches at the southwest and northwest corners. A large central chimney stack is notable for its four moulded terra-cotta shafts, along with moulded brick bases and caps. At the rear, there are wings that also feature chimney stacks with twin moulded shafts. The cottages are included for their group value.
