Description

This is an early 18th-century barn located on the west side of Browning's Lane in Kings Walden, near Breachwood Green. It is a timber-frame structure built on a brick cill and is clad in dark weatherboarding, topped with a steep red tile roof. The barn has three bays facing north, with a central pair of double doors and a rear aisle. Inside, the timber framing features unjowled posts, curved braces to the arcade plate, and straight braces to the tie-beams. The roof is a clasped-purlin design, with one purlin on each side and inclined queen posts widening towards the top. There is a mid-height rail within the walls.
