Description

Fir Tree Cottage is a house that likely dates from the 17th century and was altered in the 18th century. It has a timber frame that is roughcast, with a red brick ground floor at the front and steep old red tile roofs. The house is two stories tall and faces east, featuring a gabled lower rear wing. There is a catslide extension on the south side that overlaps the south end of the front range. The east front has roughcast above the window head of the ground floor. There is a battened door on the right under a gabled timber porch, with a bow window to the left. A two-light casement window is located on the first floor, and there is an internal south gable chimney.
