Description
Two houses, built as one block, likely dating from the 18th century, and possibly adapting an earlier structure. The houses are constructed of red brick in a Flemish bond pattern with a steep slate roof. The building faces west and is set back next to the Baptist Chapel. It is two storeys high, with projecting gable-end chimneys and a rear outshut. The west front has a stucco plinth and two low two-light casement windows set under the eaves. The ground floor has two flush box sash windows with 3/6 panes and segmental arches. There are two plank doors set in heavy frames in the middle of the front. Inside each house, there is a main room on the ground floor and a narrow rear service room, from which the staircase rises. The pattern of beams differs between the two houses, and the differing floor plans suggest an earlier origin.
