Description
This is a late 17th-century timber-frame farmhouse, later re-faced in red brick during the 18th century. It has a plain tiled roof. The two-storey farmhouse has three camber-headed windows, each with a 3-light 19th-century casement. A gabled tiled porch, dating to the 18th century, is situated on the right-hand side of the centre. Floor bands are visible on the gable ends. Two lateral chimney stacks on the rear left of the house are original to the 17th century. Inside, the farmhouse has three bays, with chamfer-stopped floor beams. A curved 17th-century staircase is located adjacent to the central chimney stack. An L-shaped barn range adjoins the house on the rear left. The barn is weatherboarded and has machine tiles. The left-hand barn within the range dates to the late 17th century and features six timber-framed bays with a clasped purlin roof.
