Description
Hooks Green Cottage is a cottage that dates from the 16th century or earlier and was restored in the 20th century. It features a timber frame with roughcast walls and weatherboarding below the sills. The roof is deeply thatched and the building is in an L-plan shape, consisting of one storey and attics. The gable end on the front left has a cusped bargeboard, and on the right return, there is a gabled attic dormer with a three-light 17th-century leaded casement window. The other windows are from the 20th century. To the right, there is a door with a two-light leaded fan set in an eyebrow recess. The ridge stack has been rebuilt.
