Description
Nos 23 and 25 on Walnut Tree Road are two houses that were originally one building, dating from the 17th century or earlier, with alterations made in the 18th century. The structure features a timber frame with roughcast and brick casing on the ground floor at the front. It has a steep old red tile roof and is a long rectangular building of two storeys, slightly set back from the road and facing north. The entrance to the western part (No 25) is located at the rear, while the entrance to No 23 is at the eastern end of the front. The ground floor has three flush casement windows, and the first floor has two, comprising two and three lights respectively. There are also two large old chimneys for internal stacks.
