Description
Bennett's Cottages is a terrace of cottages dating from the 18th century. They are constructed with a timber frame, featuring a painted brick plinth and plastered walls. The roof is covered with pantiles, which were previously thatched. The cottages have two storeys and are topped with two 18th century and one 19th century ridge chimney stacks. The northeast side has six windows, which are mostly mid-19th century Yorkshire casements with leading or glazing bars, except for one 18th century leaded casement located near the far end. There are two doors, and at the far end, there is a single-storey outshut that is weatherboarded and dates from the 18th to 19th century. The interiors feature wide inglenooks.
