Description
Keepers Cottage is a house that was formerly a gamekeeper's cottage for Newsells Park, dating from the early to mid 17th century. It has a timber frame that is rendered, and features a half hipped, steeply pitched thatched roof. The building has a three bay lobby entry and is one storey with an attic. The entrance is slightly to the right of the centre and is flanked by three light small pane, flush frame casements. There is a tiled gabled dormer with two lights. The original central ridge stack has an added flue to the left. To the right end, there is a one storey lean-to outshut with a slate roof, above which is an attic two light casement. At the rear, there is a catslide roof over a continuous lean-to outshut, a gabled dormer, and an additional slate roofed outshut to the rear left. The interior has not been inspected. Newsells Park House, located nearby, is not listed.
