Description
This building is an outbuilding located about 15 metres north of the Manor Farm House in Barley. It is a former brewhouse that has been adapted for storage and includes additions for a coalshed and farm office. The 18th-century brewhouse features a combination of weatherboarded and rendered timber framing, as well as red brick. It has a tiled roof and consists of two bays. On the side facing the house, there is a door and a 20-pane sash window set above a high brick base. The left end is constructed of red brick and has an internal stack, with the rear being weatherboarded. The right end is half hipped and leads to the lower 19th-century coalshed and office, which is weatherboarded and has a shallow pitched slate roof. There are three doors, including one to the office that has six fielded panels, a window on the right end, and a stack at the rear of the office. This building is included for its group value with the Manor Farm House.
