6/118 Ramridge Farmhouse, including outbuilding - on NW

Farmhouse. Late C15 or early C16 origin, formerly an open hall with cross wings each end. Cased in red brick late C18. Machine-tile half-hipped roof. C18 external stack at SE end. 2 storeys. 3 casements, the ground floor windows segmental headed, those of upper floor set in dentilled brick eaves. Open hall was floored over in late C16 and a chimney stack with roll moulded lintel was built backing onto a cross passage. Scratch moulded oak partitioning opposite hearth. Plank door with pegged frame and cut bracketed hood. Attached by a flint wall on the NW is a small late C17 timberframed barn. C18 red brick infill. Clasped purlin roof with plain tiles.
