Description
Two barns located southeast of Ramridge Farmhouse, dating from the 17th century, are constructed with a timber frame and weatherboarding, featuring some 18th-century chequered red brick walling. The barns share a machine tile roof. The larger barn to the north has six bays and includes two gabled porches facing the farmhouse, with the northern porch displaying a jettied gable. There is a large late 19th-century gabled extension situated between the two barns. The roof structure includes mid-height collar braces, clasped purlins, and queen struts. The smaller barn to the south is of similar construction and has a gabled projection on the southeast side.
