Description

Tallents is a house dating to the late 16th or early 17th century, originally constructed with an exposed timber frame and red brick infill. It was restored in the 20th century. The ground floor was extended forward in the 18th century using chequered red brick. The roof is covered in plain tiles and features three 19th and 20th century chimney stacks constructed from purple brick. A gable end is located on the right side. The house has two storeys and five large, leaded casement windows. Internally, the roof retains original wind braces. A converted 17th-century barn, weatherboarded in appearance, adjoins the rear, eastern end. A gabled porch with a slate and glass window, dated to around 1980, is also present.
