Description
The entrance block at North Hertfordshire and South Bedfordshire Hospital is an early to mid-19th century yellow brick building that has undergone extensive additions. It features a Welsh slated roof with a paired bracketed cornice and pediments over slight projections on either side of the center. The facade includes a symmetrical arrangement of sash windows, with a total of 2:3:2:3:2 windows, all fitted with glazing bars and set under flat arches. At the center, there is a stucco closed porch supported by Doric pilasters, complete with an entablature and a blocking course.
