Description

The former library, now part of the North Hertfordshire District Council offices, was built in 1860. It features a Neoclassical temple design with a stucco exterior and a pedimented roof covered in Welsh slate. The building is a single storey and includes two Doric pilasters and two tall sash windows. There is a closed central porch supported by Doric pilasters, and to the right, there are massive cast iron spearhead railings.
