Description

This is an altered 17th-century house, located on the east side of High Street. The front of the building was altered in the 19th century. The exterior is whitewashed pebbledash with an old tiled roof featuring sprocketed eaves. It is two storeys high. The left and centre sections have altered 19th-century shop fronts, and the right side features a segmental bow shop window with glazing bars. The timber frame is exposed on the first floor, displaying four flush windows with glazing bars. Nos 18 and 20 form a group with Nos 2 to 32 (even), No 26A, and Nos 1 and 2 John Street.
