Description

This is a 17th-century building, altered in the 19th century, located at 5 London Road. The building is comprised of a single-storey wing on the left-hand side, which is weatherboarded and incorporates a carriageway and an 18th-century former shop window. The entrance features an eight-panelled door set within a reeded surround, with decorative paterae beneath a pediment. To the right is a two-storey block with a 19th-century grey brick ground floor, featuring a canted oriel window. The first floor is plastered and contains a sash window. The ground floor slightly overhangs, supported by a coved cornice. The roofs are covered with old tiles. Nos. 1 to 7 (odd) form a group.
