Description

Sun Hill House, located at 79 King Street, is a 18th-century building that has been largely refronted in the 19th century. It is constructed of red brick with a tiled roof and has two storeys featuring sash windows. On the left side of the ground floor, there is a canted bay window, while a two-storey bay window is positioned to the right of the centre. The first floor has a window arrangement of 2:2:1. The entrance door is set in a reveal and is surrounded by an eared architrave. Above the door, there is a fanlight with ogee glazing bars, a keyblock, and an archivolt, which is flanked by consoles that support an open modillioned pediment. Sun Hill House is part of a group that includes Nos 77 and 79 and No 3, Sun Hill.
