This early 19th-century building comprises two properties, 26A and 28, on the east side of High Street. It is faced with cement rendering and has a Welsh slate roof, distinguished by octagonal shafts to its gault brick chimney stack. The building is three storeys high with shop windows at ground level and sash windows on the upper floors. It is listed for its contribution to the group value of buildings along High Street, which also includes numbers 2 to 32 (even), number 26A, and numbers 1 and 2 John Street.
