Description

This is a house dating to circa 1840, with earlier fabric at the rear dating to the 17th and 18th centuries. It is a double pile block. The front of the house is of red brick, while the rear features 18th-century brickwork on the south gable end. The front facade has two storeys and three mullioned casement windows within chamfered surrounds. Above the windows are stucco Tudor hoods, and the door is framed by a stucco surround. Shallow projecting outer bays provide protection. The eaves are formed of modillioned brick, and the roof is covered in slate with end chimney stacks. A large, canted bay window is located to the right of the front door.

To the north side, the house is timber-framed with plastered walls and connects to an 18th and 19th-century garden wall and outbuildings. The garden wall is constructed of chequered red brick and features an 1840 pointed gate arch in stuccoed brick. At the east end of the wall stands a small, weatherboarded barn with a plain tile roof, dating to the 18th century. The western end of the wall terminates 2 metres west of the gate.
