Description
Spring House is a house that has a core dating from the 16th century or earlier, with a mid-19th century brick casing that is now painted. It features a plain tile hipped roof and stands two storeys tall. The core of the house on the west side has a 17th-century red brick stack located behind the front roof. The front facade includes two recessed sash windows on the ground floor, each with 8/8 panes and stuccoed lintels. The east side has two additional sash windows with later glazing bars, and there is a door on the left. At the rear, there are two flush sash windows set in a plastered wall. Inside, the west half of the house displays 16th-century construction, and there is a cross wing bay nearest the road, likely indicating a central hall. The building was formerly known as Springhead Hall and is also referred to as "Fair View" on the Provisional List.
