Description
Spring Cottage is a house that dates from the mid-18th century, although it may have an earlier core. It has a timber frame with roughcast walls and a plain tile gable end roof. The building is two storeys high with attics. On the ground floor, there is a panelled door located towards the left, which features a mutulated pedimented hood and fluted dentilled pilasters. There are also two triple-hung sash windows. The upper floor has two 8/8-pane sash windows, along with a central gabled dormer and a red brick ridge stack. To the left, there is a lean-to, likely from the 18th century, which includes another triple-hung sash window. This building was formerly known as the Waggon and Horses Public House.
