Description

This is a wall located at the front of St. Giles Churchyard and the Brewers' Almshouses, which are numbered 99 to 109. It was built in the mid-19th century and is constructed from split flint rubble and brick. The wall stands less than 2 meters tall on the right side and rises to more than 2 meters on the left. It features two tiers of flint panels framed with brick quoining and has a semi-circular tile coping at the top. There are piers at the entrance to the almshouses and at the left end of the wall. This structure is included for its group value with the surrounding buildings.
