Description
These are two attached barns located about 30 meters southeast of Kemprow Farm House, dating from the 16th or 17th century. They feature timber frames set on brick bases and are covered with weatherboarding and tiled roofs. One barn has three bays remaining from what was once a longer structure, while the other barn, which is closer to the house, has six bays and a slightly lower ridge. There is a gabled threshing bay at the far end towards the house, with scattered openings on the side away from the house. Inside, the barns have queen struts to collars that clasp the purlins, and curved braces connecting jowled posts to cambered tie beams. Some of the walling has been partially renewed, and part of the interior is floored over.
