Description

This 18th-century tomb chest is located in the churchyard of St Mary's, four meters south of the chancel in Westmill village. The tomb features a worn inscription, which may refer to William Prisimer. It is made of limestone with a grey stone top slab and has a rectangular shape. The design includes a raised curb and a moulded splayed base, with recessed gadrooned baluster corners. Each face of the tomb chest has rectangular stone panels that are both raised and fielded. The overhanging top slab has a moulded edge and displays the primary inscription.
