Description
The small barn at Claylane Farm, dating from the 18th century, is located on the north side of the yard next to the road. This five-bay barn features a timber frame that is weatherboarded and has a roof made of corrugated iron. It includes a central through passage with double doors. The roof is constructed with clasped purlins and has small knee braces supporting the tie beams. Inside, there is evidence of an inserted floor supported on rails, and cattle troughs are still present. This barn is a picturesque farm building situated alongside the roadside.
